Showcasing artists and works that caught my attention.
Images 1-2 = Thanks to rampant expansion there’s now a lot less space around Fulcrum by #RichardSerra but at 17 metres tall, it’s one of his more impressive works to step inside for some temporary respite from the hustle and bustle of #BroadgateCircle
Images 3 = Another large geometric sculpture, Tenemos by @StudioLilianeLijn landed in #GranarySquare for Christmas and remains on display well past Twelfth Night @KingsCrossN1C until 28 Feb
Fry Up by @GalaBelll (Image 4) looks like onions on tofu and Time-piece by @Hye.Young.Sin (Image 5) provides the perfect hypnotic soundtrack for you to consider these and other works in the @kccuk_exhibition group show until 28 Jan
Image 6 = I really, really wanted to like the @KehindeWiley exhibit, but the large paintings are hung in too small a space and the six-screen “living portraiture” #videoart is absolutely gorgeous but — dare I say it? — tediously boring. I lasted 25 min. Can you do better? @NationalGallery until 18 April
Images 7 = Speaking of, it’s utterly amazing (bonkers, actually) that @NationalGallery is free. FREE! Many cities with museums 1/3rd the size with far fewer notable works can and gladly do charge you an arm and a leg for entry. In London you see the sunflowers for free. When was the last time you went?
Images 8-9 = Another London venue with a mind-blowing collection (and #ModernistArchitecture that blows) is @BritishLibrary — now displaying Sir Paul McCartney’s handwritten lyrics and personal photos. Free, until 13 Mar
